We as a Charity depend on the time given by our team of volunteers, currently we have around 300 volunteers each giving their time to support the work of the Charity. These range from volunteering over the winter for the night shelter or supporting in our shop ever week.
Volunteering Your Time
Volunteering in the
Warehouse
We are very fortunate to have many donation from our community. We then sort, test and price all items before selling in our superstore.
Here are a few of the likely duties;
-
Sorting the incoming bric-a-brac donations into various categories and pricing accordingly
-
Testing electrical items to ensure they are safe for use.
-
Listing items on-line in line with the Charity policy.
-
Support the work of the logistics team collecting and delivering items.
Experience with recognising the quality of bric-a-brac. Knowledge of china, retro, vintage etc would be advantageous but not critical for the role.
Working in the Warehouse can be physically demanding and requires a great deal of common sense.

Volunteering in our Charity Superstore
The Charity relies on the income from its
retail outlets. If you are able to spare some
time to support the work in our Superstore
please do get in contact.
Here are a few of the likely duties;
-
Providing assistance and advice to any customers requiring help
-
Keeping the shop and displays clean
and tidy at all times
-
Assisting in rotating stock and improving
displays as required
-
Taking payments from customers
Previous experience in a customer facing
role would be beneficial however full
training can be given.
Working in the Shop can be physically
demanding and requires a great deal
of common sense.
